Owner and Master photographer Gene Hodnett has over 25 years of experience in all types of commercial and individual assignments such as corporate events, annual reports, catalog, fashion photography, fine art, weddings, portraits, and video productions.

My professional photography career began in 1979 with assignments in Europe, Asia, and the Carribbean. In 1986 after 7 years overseas, I returned to Hampton Roads and was awarded through competitive bidding the photography contract by the Navy Exchange. Our studio was located on base in building C9 until the new Navy Exchange Mall opened. We provided ALL retail photography services for 10 consecutive years.

For our civilian clients (non-military patrons) we operated two locations. One in Bromley Shopping Center in Norfolk and the other one in Scores Plaza in Virginia Beach. By 2002, we moved all operations to a web based business. With operation cost between $4,000 and $10,000 a month at each of our locations, it was impossible to offer today's low prices which are currently 40-50% lower than professionals working from a studio. This does not include your hobbiest trying to get into market.

During that 20 year period, we successfully provided photography, video, custom framing and operated the FIRST one hour digital imaging business in Hampton Roads for a multitude of patrons, Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, universities, and celebrities. We supported the Tim and Daphne Reid scholarship foundation for over 20 years. We were the photographer for Governor Mark Warner's, Governor Tim Kaine's and President Barack Obama's campaigns.

99% of all photography assignments are done on locations and offer endless possiblities. Weddings and corporate events are all at venues.
